DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

As a Barclays DevOps Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for technical analysis, design, development coordination and end user interactions. This role primarily requires an extensive knowledge in server and database administration but with opportunities to work in other technologies. You will play a leading role in a strategic project to deliver a market leading initiative and migration of current ACBS platform to LIQ.

What will you be doing?

• Providing support to IT and business colleagues throughout project test phases: prepare test environments; co-ordinate test batches; liaise with application teams
• investigating and resolving defects that may be raised
• Contributing towards planning of implementation activities, including data migration where appropriate
• Providing support to the Project Manager helping to define analysis approach in line with the vision of the programme and the methodology of the organisation
• Supporting key business and operations departments though change period by ensuring new processes modelled and operational readiness tasks are captured and tracked
• Interacting with Business and development teams globally to develop solutions for the application
• Escalating risks and issues to the WSL IT project manager throughout the project lifecycle

What We’re Looking For

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in computer science or related major
• Experience with AWS, Windows, Linux and networking
• Experience with Oracle MS SQL Server, SQL
• Previous experience with AutoSys, Chef, TeamCity and Jenkins

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Previous experience with the Loan IQ application
• Corporate or investment Wholesale Lending banking knowledge, particularly back office operations
