Infrastructure Specialist

As a Barclays Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role supporting the Cloud & Middleware Products & platform. The role provides exposure to leading edge Middleware software technology hosting and orchestrating mission critical services for the group. You will build, configure, deploy and support complex non-production and production environments. You will be in charge of supporting the innovation of our data solutions and increasing our capabilities to provide a deep understanding of our Products.

What will you be doing?

• You will manage in-house solutions for Inventory, Compliance, Vulnerability Patching, Logging & Monitoring and Entitlement Management
• Working closely with stakeholders to gather new requirements & ensure they are fully understood, undertake analysis & implement solutions
• You will be responsible for the successful end to end delivery of team-owned data platform solutions
• You will automate repeatable processes with robust and configurable solutions

What We’re Looking For

• PL SQL Programmer with exposure to SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Python & Go Lang Scripting Experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with a wide range of people & stakeholders

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Knowledge of Cloud platform like Redhat OpenShift V3/V4
• Chef and/or Ansible Development
• Experience on Operation systems like Linux & Windows
• Prioritizing workload effectively and managing deadlines

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
