Oracle PL/SQL Developer

As a Barclays Avaloq Developer, within the Private Bank Technology team, you will be working with Avaloq which is the core banking system for Barclay’s wealth management operations. The testing team supports all Avaloq products and provide a vital role in all change delivered by the Avaloq Product structure. This role manages any daily issues that would hamper testing activities and actively shares knowledge gained through participation in team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Software Design, Programming and Unit Testing: Designing programmes / programme modifications from supplied requirements & design specifications
  • Creating and amending programmes in accordance with the design following relevant code management procedures
  • Planning, designing and conducting tests of programs, correcting errors and re-testing to deliver an error-free product
  • Building knowledge of software delivery process and of technology developments relevant to own team / programme
  • Acting as a point of reference for both internal and external technical queries

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of Oracle and PL/SQL
  • Previous experience in Java development (J2ee, Maven, git) integration with Jenkins
  • Experience of Angular JS/Angular

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Experience of Avaloq Scripting
  • Knowledge of Web standards, HTML5, CSS, Web security
  • Knowledge of Rest and Agile
