Product Manager – Desktop

As a Barclays Product Manager – Desktop, you will be responsible for building a great Desktop experience for thousands of colleagues globally, establishing the strategy, vision and roadmap for the Desktop environment. You will integrate customer and colleague requirements, technical and architectural capabilities, engaging with and communicating to the products customers and user base. Hybrid Working

What will you be doing?

  • Continuously evolving Desktop product roadmaps, with input from technical, programme and delivery teams
  • Working with clients and service delivery to ensure we can continue to deliver on-demand
  • Contributing towards the Desktop product strategy and vision, and communicating it to clients and colleagues
  • Establishing relationships with key stakeholders and across the technology organisation, including consumers, security, risk, operations and architects
  • Collecting and analysing, responding to, and enhancing products based on user feedback (NPS)
  • Planning new features and changes to your products, and working with engineering to prioritise based on user feedback
  • Owning and driving governance of your products and evolving the lifecycle based on data trends
  • Providing thought leadership for the development of the broader and group-wide technology strategy, Product Management discipline & service management model

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to describe Desktop technologies both to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders of the merits of a strategic direction, when faced with resistance to change, achieving this by being persuasive, reasoned and factual
  • Experience in working with and analysing large data sets for your products, which will be used to form decisions on the product strategy
  • Ability to look through lenses of business, functional, data and technology, to better understand the differences and know how to prioritise asks accordingly

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Product management experience working in the technology sector
  • Accounting or financial experience
  • Practical knowledge of customer experience methodologies and Strategic writing and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of end – user computing technologies such as VDI, Citrix, Windows and Mac devices, including some hands on experience

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
