Infrastructure Programme Manager

As a Barclays Infrastructure Programme Manager in Networks and Voice, you will take on real ownership of underpinning the foundation in our connectivity, problem, incident and service management framework in support of other strategic pillars in Enterprise Hosting, Cloud, Workplace and Property Services. As part of Global Technology Infrastructure and Services (GTIS) your role in N&V is instrumental in managing a complex workbook of delivery to ensure sustainability across a wide area of technology products and services.

What will you be doing?

• Managing projects to deliver outcome, planning and managing resources and interdependencies
• Creating and encouraging strong collaboration within and outside the team
• Driving success through managing and maintaining project governance such as Project Plans, RAIDs and Project Status Reports.
• Managing areas and resources within the programme to achieve challenging goals
• Ensuring that accountabilities are understood through clear and transparent governance
• Working alongside technical and design teams and translating ‘tech-talk’ to management views, crystalizing concepts and understanding dependencies
• Developing innovative solutions to resource constraint challenges
• Managing clear and articulate stakeholder communications

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in successfully managing IT programmes and controlling project deliverables within timescales / programme environment and escalating any issues to stakeholder
• Proven experience of working effectively with internal and external suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and in line with budget
• Experience in leading and motivating virtual teams (engineers, project managers, transition managers, etc.) within an IT project/programme environment
• Experience in managing and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple business lines, achieving high levels of satisfaction through setting and meeting/exceeding realistic targets

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
