As a Barclays Senior Developer Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for creating a series of libraries across mobile and web. You will work closely with our accessibility and design experts to produce a design system that is being rolled out across the bank. Our native mobile libraries are still very new and we are looking to grow our team of native developers, whilst maintaining and building upon the high quality fundamentals we have established so far.

What will you be doing?

• Facilitating a team of mobile developers across iOS and Android platforms to deliver a set of components as a consumable library
• Working with the team to evolve the engineering practices to the high standard we set ourselves
• Actively ensuring the sets of components are usable and easily consumable

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on knowledge and solid practical experience of Unix, DevOps tools, pipelines and equivalent toolsets, in an agile development environment
• Self-starter, able to use initiative to drive solutions forward

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Experience in Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes, Groovy, Jenkins, JIRA, BitBucket, Nexus
• Extensive knowledge of public cloud environments

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.
