Risk Analyst

As a Barclays Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for providing assurance to Global Payments Business Leaders, ensuring full conformance to risk policies and methodology and the application of appropriate controls within Global Payments both in the UK and globally. Part of this role will enable you to make recommendations for improvements to the control environment and drive Global Payments to implement tactical and strategic mitigating actions.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting teams regarding Group and Regulatory risk policies, directives, initiatives and practices ensuring consistent interpretation and appropriate translation
• Supporting and leading the business throughout the end to end audit process
• Identifying control weaknesses and document actions for remediation via Operational Controls Assurance testing
• Conducting risk assessments and audits of processes
• Providing accurate provision of management information together with analysis and commentary in relation to operations and risk to RCRM and Global Payments Leadership
• Coaching in risk practice and methodology to increase awareness throughout
• Conducting independent assurance assessments regarding the business risk control
• Providing support during major risk events/incidents, tracking mitigating actions to conclusion, including quality assurance testing of remedial actions prior to closure

What We’re Looking For

• Experience of working within a similar role
• Knowledge and practical experience of Operational Risk frameworks, policies and procedures
• Understanding of Audit processes and procedures
• Knowledge of process/services managed within Payment Operations

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Knowledge of product range and services provided by the Firm’s Operational and IT suppliers
• Knowledge of the operational and technical architecture of the infrastructure environment provided by Corporate Technology
