Risk and Control Project Management Officer

Glasgow

As a Barclays Risk and Control Project Management Officer, you will be joining Markets team within Markets Pre-Trade business area. You will be instrumental in implementing the Markets Pre-Trade team as we build out our Risk and Control PMO function. In your new role you will manage Execution Risk effectively, deliver on our Group strategy and satisfy all our stakeholders. Your team will deliver our initiatives consistently and transparently.

What will you be doing?

  • Reporting coordinates and produces agreed reporting on the Risk and Control book of work e.g., updates to actions and issues. Updating Jira and ORAC at regular intervals
  • Establishing and maintaining progress reports for the organisation, ensuring that community of Control Leads owners keep their teams on track with deliverables
  • Planning assists asset class points of contact in planning the Risk and Control book of work to ensure no blockages/ pinch points
  • You will be responsible for ensuring team follow project governance standards/methods
  • Assisting with asset class points of contact with MTP requests- ensures all ORACs have budget assigned to them
  • Supporting the points of contact in assessing the combined risk presented by the book of work items, including the tracking of thematic issues in a particular asset class
  • Gathering data to support the resource and effort required to close out a particular issue escalating in a timely fashion if deliverables are at risk
  • Ensuring all stakeholders are aware of initiative progress and have the information they need to make the right decisions in a timely manner

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with Microsoft packages, including Project, Powerpoint, Word and Excel
  • Good organizational skills, with attention to detail and focus on controls
  • Exposure to each stage of the project life cycle and governance of each phase, from inception through to implementation and closure
  • Familiarity with the Financial Services environment
