Senior ALM Design and Development Lead

As a Barclays Senior Design and Development Lead, you will be responsible for the design and development across ALM. You’ll be required to lead a global team of .Net/C#/SQL Server developers and designers, across UK, Prague and India, to enhance, maintain and support the technology capabilities used by ALM.

What will you be doing?

• You will be responsible for development and delivery of all technical changes in the ALM landscape
• Collaborating with RFT and Business Architects to define the Architectural strategy and roadmap for ALM
• Working with design leads to deliver detailed technical designs in line with the Architectural roadmap and Risk Finance and Treasury (RFT) technology strategy
• Setting up a delivery multi-geography organisation structure that works together seamlessly to deliver technology capability
• Actively engaging with stakeholders to understand business pain points and problems and ensure that the technology deliverables address them
• Engaging with partner technology teams, both “Build the Bank” and Run the Bank” teams, across multiple geographies
• Partnering with programme delivery and governance teams to ensure agreed business commitments and expectations are met
• Planning, managing and tracking deliverables and ensure timely delivery with quality

What We’re Looking For

• Solid experience in development and delivery of medium to large .Net/C#/SQL Server applications
• Solid experience in creating detailed technical design of medium to large .Net/C#/SQL Server applications aligned to a technology strategy and roadmap
• Demonstrated experience of leading a medium to large team (25+ resources) of permanent and managed service team members in multiple locations
• Hands-on experience in delivering medium to large applications in cloud technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Experience and knowledge of regulatory programmes and Treasury/Investment banking domain will be preferred
