Senior Appian Developer

As a Senior Appian Developer you will be responsible for leading the design & implementation and support & maintenance of the Bank’s applications and analytic tools, supporting Risk, Finance and Treasury and other teams in the execution of their business processes. The Appian Finance Technology team, within Group Finance Technology, focuses on the delivery of applications to support strategic business processes, leveraging the Appian low-code platform, and addresses requirements for process engineering, simplification and workflow automation.

Hybrid Working

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?

• Designing and implementing BPM and workflow based solutions using Appian platform, along with complex enterprise integrations with industry standard technologies
• Providing demonstrations to project teams and end users throughout the entire project life-cycle, mentoring & supporting other team members
• Supporting and maintain new and existing implementations, in a DevOps pipeline with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Facilitating manual deployment for legacy applications where necessary, and participating in user story grooming sessions, peer review of code, testing and bug-fixing

What We’re Looking For

• Recent experience as Appian Designer & Developer including latest releases, with proven end-to-end delivery experience across a number of projects
• Required working knowledge with SQL, query editing and performance tuning, experience with SDLC, configuration, deployment and testing of enterprise applications
• Experience of working on cross-functional teams building products using Agile methodologies and DevOps
• Experience of working with clients to define business processes and gather functional system requirements

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Formal Certification as an Appian Developer L2 preferred
• Preferred working experience with Java, Web Services, API integration
