As a Barclays ServiceNow Developer you will be joining HR Technology team who is responsible for providing digital solutions for our HR service. We are currently embarking on a major digital transformation with the implementation of both Workday and ServiceNow. We will be delivering a seamless and modern experience for colleagues in the bank with HR Service Delivery. You will be leading on the design and development/implementation of ServiceNow HR Service Delivery solutions and providing technical & architectural guidance.

What will you be doing?

• Providing architectural and design oversight to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and use
• Designing/Building technical solutions based on client’s needs and process requirements
• Delivering solutions using Agile software development processes
• Taking care of end to end development activities for a specific enhancement or project as an individual contributor
• Customising or developing of enhancement requests for ServiceNow HR
• Working closely with BA’s, Architects, Testing team and process teams; ensuring gaps are clearly identified and reported to BA/stake holders
• Producing design documents where necessary
• Taking respective ownership of preparation of release plan

What We’re Looking For

• Knowledge of ServiceNow HR Service Delivery Enterprise (including Knowledge, Employee Service Centre, case management)
• Demonstrable experience in following Technical concepts of ServiceNow – ServiceNow web services and APIs, Expert in JavaScript and Workflow Configuration
• Working knowledge of relational databases
• Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc)

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Working experience in ServiceNow Service (Request) Catalog
• Ability to interface and develop with Java/J2EE backend technologies
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, SSO
• Working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3)
