Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst You will be part of the CRFTL BA Centre of Excellence (CoE) and will service the many and varied programmes and projects across the businesses within the domain. Hybrid Working

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?

• Partnering with business & technology stakeholders to understand programme / project objectives; current state business, process and technology architecture etc
• Working collegiately and independently to elicit & document business requirements as basis for agreeing target state, delivery scope and solutioning options.
• Initiating, formulating and presenting recommendations based on analysis in order to influence and negotiate the decisions made by the Business/Product owners as relevant
• Analysing problems and evaluating options in a logical and systematic way and ensuring robust supporting documentation.
• Supporting dialogue related to options evaluation & decision making, gaining stakeholder and technology consensus regarding the proposed business and IT solution
• Supplying analytical expertise into all delivery phases including initial scoping, solution design, development, test design, testing & business readiness, and implementation.
• Key Contributor to the testing strategy, including definition of scenarios / cases and hands on testing as required.
• Ensuring all activities are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework & understanding risk appetite

What We’re Looking For

• Experience of working with Business Analysis frameworks, methodologies and tools e.g. UML / BPMN and in preparing & issuing a range of key business analysis artefacts
• Exposure to working in business, process and technology change initiatives from ideation to implementation, and conveying information to non-technical colleagues in a clear way
• Familiar with conducting Business Analysis in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments, working with team in multiple locations and preferable in financial services.
• Communicating with a wide array of people and some experience of stakeholder management, working with MS Office and other software for Business Analysis

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Project methodologies and their application within the organisation
• Test design and implementation
• Awareness of responsibilities of one or more functions supported by the team (Consumer Credit, Risk, Finance, Treasury & Liquidity)
• Data analysis and mining applications and tools e.g. SQL, Data Modelling, Data visualisation.

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we’ve been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
