Business Development Manager

We are currently hiring BDM BA4 in these Locations; Southampton, Cornwall, East London, Kent, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Wiltshire, East Midland, Cardiff.

As a Barclays Business Development Manager, you will be accountable for developing robust relationships prospective clients within a set geographic region. Work closely with Barclays Business teams, Specialist, Risk and Product colleagues to deliver an exceptional Customer experience through the provision of service and solutions built around in-depth knowledge of the prospective customers’ needs. Create and provide solutions for prospective customers that balance their short and long term needs, helping them to achieve their ambitions.

What will you be doing?

  • Winning new business through engaging qualifying prospective customers and delivering outstanding service which highlights the Business Banking proposition
  • Effectively managing stakeholders, proactively and effectively building robust Internal and Customer relationships
  • Pro-actively leveraging external data and insights to identify opportunities to support clients
  • Running customer engagement and education events to build awareness for the Barclays brand, and attract new clients to engage with us in a positive way
  • Working with 360 colleagues both within the branch network and within Business Development to capitalise on high value switcher opportunities across the UK
  • Building a network of contacts that will help to achieve great customer outcomes by driving pro-active business development within the wider community
  • Striving to develop business customers and work with key stakeholders to drive returns through new customer acquisition
  • Working knowledge of target economic; demonstrating expert assessments of prospective customer’s market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

What We’re Looking For

  • Subject Matter Expert – deep knowledge and experience in Business Banking products and solutions as well as Barclays digital products and services

  • Networker – develops deep, sustainable relationships, and understands how to leverage those relationships strategically to provide the right outcomes for stakeholders.

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • IFS: ACIB, PCertB, Cert BB&C, DipBB&C or Omega Credit Skills Development (CSD) is preferable. Or you can demonstrate a desire to commence professional study and
  • work towards completion of IFS Diploma of Business Banking or Omega Credit Skills Development (CSD) within 12 months of starting in role
