Senior Brand Communications Manager

Flexible UK Location

As a Barclays Senior Brand Communications Manager, you’ll be responsible for the development and leadership of integrated brand campaigns and programmes, you will also support the management of the Barclays UK brand positioning. This role will focus on primarily the Barclays brand, but work flexibly as part of the Brand communications leadership team to support priorities.

Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Marketing COE in driving transformation across Marketing, and play an active role within the Brand Communications leadership team
  • Supporting the management of the positioning of the Barclays brand across marketing communications
  • Engaging and aligning with the broader Marketing Communications teams and beyond, leveraging channel expertise to deliver integrated and impactful communications
  • Developing relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders across the business to ensure development of customer focused campaigns that meet business requirements
  • Working with colleagues across marketing and the broader business to integrate and align brand communications with broader business and marketing plans.
  • Ensuring all governance and control measures are effective and fit for purpose.
  • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Track record of delivering impactful and innovative marketing communications, including integrated campaigns and large-scale social media activity
  • In-depth understanding of the modern media and marketing landscape
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Is creative and enthusiastic, bringing a solution-focused attitude to help navigate through problem solving
