Senior Product Manager – Green Mortgages

The Senior Product Manager will define the Product Management & Development Strategy for Green Homes, including our Green Home Mortgage range and also additional products & propositions aimed at helping customers make energy efficient improvements to their homes; and be responsible for the launch of new sustainable propositions to market in line with that Strategy and to meet our objectives. Whilst the focus of the role will be on sustainability for mortgages, the role holder will also support the wider Mortgages Proposition development team, and work on wider initiatives related to Mortgages proposition development as required by the business.

What will you be doing?

• Being the business SME for green homes and green financing
• Responsible for further developing the Green Home Mortgage propositions
• Proactively scoping green mortgage market trends supported by research and analysis to feed into our strategy and prioritisation processes
• Providing leadership in driving and defining the new product agenda utilising internal segmentation research to ensure as a business we are being truly customer led
• Defining and own the green home mortgage (and other green financing proposition) strategy and prioritisation based on the above.
• Working with the wider Secured Borrowing team and lead on proposition development work related to residential mortgages, where needed.
• Responsible for identifying other opportunities to expand our proposition in the Green Homes space, including identifying partnership opportunities (internal and external)
• Lead on the development of proposals, including analytical work required, to create compelling risk policy proposals in relation to climate risk

What We’re Looking For

• Strong working knowledge of green financing, energy efficiency of homes & the emerging green finance market is highly desirable
• Expert working knowledge of secured lending products (or similar) and commercials the mortgage regulatory environment
• Having a strong working knowledge of mortgage policy and processes
• A proven record in Product Management within the Mortgage industry or similar, with extensive experience in developing and delivering products and change

• Be highly effective in managing multiple relationships across diverse groups of senior stakeholders and delivering in a complex organisation

• Being a natural communicator, with experience of explaining complex concepts in plain English to diverse audiences
