Due to internal progression, we have a Finance Business Analyst opportunity within the Brands & Licensing finance team. This is a unique opportunity to utilise your financial expertise in a commercial capacity and work with global children’s brands Bluey, Hey Duggee, and the iconic Top Gear brand. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who relishes dynamic and intellectually challenging work and who is as comfortable shaping the right questions for the business to be asking, in addition to providing analysis to guide and support aligned solutions.

Role Responsibility

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning on existing and new potential major brands.
  • The role supports all financial reporting cycles, planning and actuals. Ensuring packs are accurate, insightful and the key messages are delivered and communicated to support effective decision making.
  • Financial modelling and analysis to support stakeholder decision making across Brands & Licensing.
  • You will maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of the divisional business – building and developing effective relationships with key business contacts.
  • With support from the Finance Manager, you will develop the relationship with our wider outsourced finance team, IBM.
  • Support wider finance initiatives, ad hoc projects and operational improvements as required by wider finance teams and support the delivery of strategic change.
  • Develop, test and share new analytical methods and practices.

Are you the right candidate?

  • Ideally, you will hold a professional accounting qualification.
  • You’ll have a natural interest in the Broadcast industry.
  • You will possess good working knowledge in financial reporting practices, with the ability to demonstrate technical knowledge of the accounting impact of commercial decisions
  • You’ll have an eye for detail and will produce high quality and detailed analytics with ease.
  • You will have experience in business partnering, however most importantly you thrive at the challenges that come with supporting our wider stakeholders. This will include ad hoc commercial projects, key brand reporting and cost governance.
  • In addition to the technical aspect, you demonstrate key behaviours to support the objectives of the role. With a proactive nature and natural curiosity, forging professional relationships comes naturally to you.
  • You are organised in your approach to your work, and conduct yourself in a proactive and confident, yet approachable manner. You pursue challenges with passion, assured in your skills and ability to communicate effectively with your colleagues and stakeholders.
  • You enjoy a busy working environment, and deliver a flexible and conscientious approach to meeting challenging deadlines.
