We’re looking for a Finance Manager to provide professional financial support to BBC Studios Production. Could this be you?

Role Responsibility

Actuals

  • Consolidate central view of actuals, comparing to forecast and prior year and preparing commentary

Budget & Forecasting

  • Review and challenge forecast submissions, providing financial advice on a range of issues. Challenge actual or potential variations to budgets
  • Quarterly reconciliation of phased forecast and budget submissions across P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and other key metrics

Controls

  • Act as custodian of BBC financial policies , advise on compliance to policy and best practice.
  • Ensuring consistent treatment of accounting policies across the portfolio of production labels and implementing and supporting change

Accounting & Reporting

  • Provide financial information to relevant stakeholders, ensure that all statutory reporting obligations are met
  • Ownership of intercompany eliminations by genre across productions and content investment

Ad Hoc

  • Ad hoc project work to understand and seek improvements to processes within Production and simplify reporting

Are you the right candidate?

Essential

  • Professional accounting qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Significant experience of a finance function within a complex matrix organisation
  • Experience of working with and the analysis and interpretation of financial information
  • Significant experience of the application of governance and control principles.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence.

Desirable

  • Experience in a Group Finance consolidation role (understanding of eliminations/PURP/intercompany etc)
  • Experience with financial systems: S4, ECC and BPC

Package Description

Band: E

Contract type: Permanent

Location: London, Television Centre, White City (2/3 days per week remote working).
