The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

This post is only open to Bradford Council Employees who are on Established or Fixed Term Contract because the Council has to consider employment opportunities for its workforce.

Are you an administrator with experience of working in a fast-paced office? We are looking for a dedicated individual with an “eye for detail”, is a strong team player, who can work under pressure and who has excellent customer services skills.

The ideal candidates will:
  • Have worked in a customer service/regulatory environment.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, paying attention to detail.
  • Be well organised and used to working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Be highly computer literate, in particular able to use Word and Excel spread sheets.
  • Be able to implement, maintain and manage accurate information retention systems both manual and computerised.
  • Be able to work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the service.

Essential Requirements:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who can produce work to a high standard, has meticulous written and verbal communication skills and is able to produce all work with a high degree of accuracy, paying strong attention to detail and be able to complete all work effectively and to tight deadlines.

Experience and ability to use ICT systems and applications is essential along with experience of working within a very busy customer service/regulatory environment, Applicants must have at least 4 years’ experience of working in a fast paced, busy customer service environment preferably in a regulatory capacity. You will need to have experience dealing with the general public on the telephone & by email.
