About this role:

The Global transformation agenda is critical to the achievement of Global’s strategy and ambition. Business analysts are key to enabling the transformation, applying their analytical, business improvement and change management skills and expertise to understand business priorities and ensure clear alignment between transformation initiatives and business outcomes to optimise value and enable growth.

The business analyst will identify and articulate the need for change and define the solutions to facilitate the change.

This includes identifying and sizing opportunities, eliciting and analysing requirements, proposing and developing solutions and measuring the benefits and outcomes.

As members of agile squads, BAs are key contributors to achieving the squads’ objectives and key results.

You’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Understand business/customer priorities and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for change
  • Analyse current state and propose and define future states, producing analysis and insights to enable Global to achieve transformation objectives
  • Initiate, articulate and present recommendations based on analysis to influence business decisions
  • Elicit and analyse requirements and articulate them to technology and other functional areas clearly as actionable initiatives for development to ensure proposed solutions are aligned with the IT strategy and meet business expectations
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration to visualise and prioritise outcomes
  • Provide a baseline for improvement
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis to size and prioritise opportunities and prove realisation of business benefits
  • Analyse and design process and journey transformation and produce documents relevant for the customer (where required collaborating with dedicated process analysts)
  • Write user stories, use cases and where required input into business cases, typically owning specific tasks in a backlog
  • Perform best practice analysis activites such as value stream mapping, day in the life of studies
  • Actively contribute to and champion business change

You’ll have the following skills & experience:

  • Strong stakeholder management- communicate clearly and develop trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and be recognised as credible contributor
  • Influence and communicate- present analytical and objective data-driven insight and solutions to decision makers, anticipating understanding different needs and perspectives to tailor message appropriately
  • Facilitation- effectively lead collaboration in a variety of settings
  • Strong analytical skills- identify and investigate business problems/opportunities through a data driven approach, and able to translate strategy into change initiatives.
  • Requirements management – requirements elicitation, collaboration, traceability, and requirements lifecycle management
