Why this job matters

  • Accountable for managing engagement of security expertise into change initiatives for their areas of scope and managing escalations where necessary ensure timely support for urgent change and where security risks are maturing where consultancy direction isn’t being followed.
  • Acts as chapter lead for driving our Guide, Trust, Verify working with the GTV transformation team in successful adoption of GTV across the business by ensuing secure by design is embedded into their area of engagement.
  • Strives to develop a federated approach to 1st line security by empowering the business to act for itself with guidance from Security.
  • Ensures that all activity the business engages in is delivered in a fashion that minimizes risk overall to within established patterns and guardrails.
  • Focussed on early engagement into strategic capabilities with a goal to build security patterns and guidance in support of the goals of Guide, Trust, Verify by having the guidance ready when capabilities are consumed by individual projects

What I’ll Be Doing – Your Accountabilities

  • Accountable for understanding the wider transformation and change plans within their area of the business to optimise security consultancy engagement in the right initiatives with a goal to build security patterns and guidance in support of the goals of Guide, Trust, Verify by having the guidance ready when capabilities are consumed by individual projects.
  • Responsible for supporting triage of business change and supporting the drive to develop a federated approach to 1st line security by empowering the business to act for itself with guidance from Security
  • As chapter lead, accountable for driving out GTV within their area of the business to support the successful execution of the GTV transformation, including:
  • Responsible for piloting GTV opportunities, ensuring that all stakeholder relationships are in place for successful deployment.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring Security Guardians/Champions with structuring training and development objectives.
  • Responsible for reporting up to Guild Lead, maintaining risks/issues accordingly
  • Responsible for collating and documenting all GTV success stories and whitepapers
  • Responsible for ensuring that consistent high quality output is maintained for all security design activities
  • Responsible for supporting security recruitment activity related to design and development opportunities
  • Accountable for managing conflict and escalation where projects are at jeopardy due to either resourcing concerns or project ignoring directions from security consultants
  • Accountable for reporting the security status of key programmes for their area up to Technology Security Director.
  • Accountable for providing guidance on adoption of patterns and advice to assist triage and placement of work within wider business rather than needing allocation to consultancy teams
  • Responsible for identifying and documenting Design Pattern opportunities

Skills Required For The Job

  • Ability to communicate and effective in influencing strategic direction at director level
  • Strong drive, determination to deliver the implementation of a strategic security programme and culture change across the business
  • Track record of Agile and waterfall methodologies
  • You examine many potential ideas and evaluate each one against our business goals and strategy. You provide guidance and expertise and coach others to investigate new information and discover new insights and possibilities.
