About This Role

This is a vital, high-profile role delivering our sales channel communications, partner marketing plans, and events to our customer segments, supporting the delivery of the MTP (BT’s financial plan). The role optimises our channel, partner marketing and events budgets and resources to deliver the best possible return on BT’s investment.

This job develops the strategic plans to drive effective marketing projects for BT and its partners (device partners like Apple and Samsung; connectivity partners like Cisco and RingCentral, hardware partners like Dell, Microsoft, etc), as well as overseeing the delivery of all customer events, in collaboration with Sales and their objectives, to drive quantifiable value to the business based on leads and opportunities.

This role leads and inspires our Marketing teams to produce the best work for our customer segments, representing your team in the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) and the wider marketing teams.

You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering and shaping the channel, partner & events marketing plans to support the priorities and targets of the SoHo, SME, CPS and Wholesale marketing plans as set out by the respective Segment Marketing Partners.
  • Own and deliver strategic investment choices that underpin the channel and partner marketing strategy, interlocking plans on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis with the Segment Marketing Partners, and GTM team.
  • Lead, inspire and motivate teams of marketers to deliver your plans brilliantly.
  • Work collaboratively with our Product, Commercial and Sales teams for the strategic creation and execution of partner marketing plans and programmes, including brand positioning, product, packaging, channel management and incentives.
  • Understand the performance of your marketing plan, clearly communicating these results and key learnings and/or remedial plans to stakeholders.

You’ll Have The Following Skills And Experience

  • Proven experience of managing others to develop and implement creative and strategic campaigns which effectively bring our brands to life. Ability to evaluate campaign impact and effectiveness and propose ways to maximise engagement.
  • Experience of providing expert insights into our customers, their context and preferences based on your detailed and nuanced knowledge. Ability to leverage customer analyses to provide insight that maximises sales opportunities and generates recommendations.
  • Able to manage others to develop engaging multi-channel marketing communications. Able to draw on your knowledge, industry practice and data driven insights to make recommendations to make our communications as engaging as possible.
  • Excellent product and service knowledge. Able to help teams to understand the strategy and decisions made around core infrastructure, products and services. Able to develop areas of expertise that best meet market demands and attract new customers.
  • Experience of allocating and directing a budget for part of the business.
  • Proven experience of handling a difficult people issues well.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a team of employees from different locations or regions.
  • Experience of leading teams working with 3rd party partners, event management and channel marketing.
