Why this role matters

The Corporate and Public Sector (CPS) team is the heart land of Enterprise supporting national and international businesses and public sector organisations across the UK. These customers do not buy off the shelf products but instead want solutions and product portfolios that solve their organisational challenges to drive efficiency and productivity.

As part of the Corporate and Public Sector Customer Solutions team, the role of the Project Professional is pivitol in helping us launch new capabilities that the sales teams can sell to our customers in order to get Enterprise back to growth. The role holder will be responsible for delivering individual projects, holding stakeholders and sponsors to account (Director level). The nature of the assignment will always be to deliver quality customer outcomes or solutions right across the project lifecycle.

Your Accountabilities

  • Responsible for tracking and delivering projects against budget and business case, ensuring they are delivered on time and exceed our current quality standards, enabling great experiences for our customers and colleagues
  • Embedding robust Project Management controls to manage project governance, scope, risk and issues, dependencies, resource planning, budget management and reporting
  • Own and lead progress reporting, identification of key risks and issues and their escalation and be the one source of truth on the delivery of the project
  • Engage with key stakeholders from across the business, including Propositions and Product owners, to scope and mobilise projects, drive decisions, remove roadblocks and hold teams accountable for their commitments
  • Providing analytical and diagnostic support to Programme Manager for discovery

Skills Required For The Role

  • Experience of managing projects within either the Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Have a problem solving mindset, providing guidance and counsel on complex and unfamiliar situations, not just with your project, but also across the organisation to drive collaboration and find resolutions
  • Managing complex stakeholders, with the ability to influence, guide, challenge, particularly with Senior Stakeholders (Snr Managers and Director Level)
  • Ability to tailor the messaging and articule the most complex concepts and/or data using simple, compelling and coherent narratives. Deliver narratives to internal audiences at all levels consistently judging the demands of the situation in order to tailor the messaging accordingly
  • Understands expectations and manages themselves to high ethical and values standards. Will call out poor behaviour in others

Experience And Qualifications

  • Recognised Project Manager qualification (Prince 2, Agile, MSP)
  • Operated in a large multi-site complex business (Mandatory)
  • Worked up to and regularly engaged with senior stakeholders (at least Director Level)
  • Change management experience (Technology, Organisational & cultural skills)
  • Experience of development of procedures and processes
  • Negotiation skills
