As Programme Assurance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing, assuring and delivering a number of Fibre Build programmes. You will own the inputs into the quarterly capacity plan, Own the plan to ensure alignment across fibre build and report delivery and manage risks against this plan to senior stakeholders across the business.

You’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Own minor programmes in the Fibre Build space including full life ownership or incubation before moving to

BAU ownership

  • Translate high-level concept requirements through design into executable programmes of work
  • Identify spending decisions and asks in line with prioritisation
  • Define how the programmes are processed, presented and success is ensured
  • Own the design and launch of new projects and programmes on behalf of Fibre Build
  • Take initial ownership of new and emerging programmes (e.g. LFFN, USB & FOD) either developing and owning

full life or until handed over

  • Working with the wider CMO team to ensure volume, programme requirements and risks are aligned

and effectively governed.

  • Programme management of existing minor programmes activity (e.g. MDU programme)
  • Takes initial ownership of new and emerging programmes (e.g. RNS) either developing and owning full life or

until handed over

  • Working with the wider CMO team to ensure volume, programme requirements and risks are aligned and

effectively governed.

  • Stakeholder management skills as you will be required to exert influence across Openreach and

with external stakeholders

You’ll need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Lead and drive sustainable business and deployment plans aligned to customers, markets and economic environment
  • Programme management skills – Prince 2/MSP (or equivalent)
  • Risk and prioritisation skills
  • Stakeholder management skills as a role holder is required to exert

influence across Openreach

and with external stakeholders

  • An ability to matrix-manage cross-business teams to complex and multi-phase solutions
  • Financial acumen to manage costs, budget and risk & opportunities
  • Able to present with gravitas and credibility at senior levels in Openreach
  • An expert in their field – with experience and credibility
  • Experience in establishing large-scale end-to-end matrix programmes covering the

full life cycle of the programme from inception to closure

  • Broad understanding of specific and wider programme requirements
