Why this job matters

Guide Trust Verify (GTV) is a strategic Security Initiative, where we federate certain Secure-by-Design tasks into the business delivery functions, under the guardrails set by Cyber Information Security.

The GTV Guild Lead is accountable for overseeing all GTV Guild activities, including the development, management, capture, sharing and accessibility of GTV assets. They will be required to work alongside key stakeholders, across the business, while working to promote and optimise the concept of GTV.

Skills Required For The Job

• Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)
• Stakeholder management: able to communicate complex plans and strategies at the right level to get support and commitment from a wide range of different stakeholders
• Transformational leadership: able to set a vision, inspire, bring new stimulation, challenge status quo, support and recognise teams as the transformation delivers
• Able to work collaboratively across various areas of the business to meet strategic security objectives
• Track record of expertise in Agile Security

What I’ll Be Doing – Your Accountabilities

• Accountable for operating the GTV Security Guild, collating and sharing learning experiences across all CUs
• Accountable for the creation of all GTV training material, upskilling of CU training units, training plans and providing the relevant coaching, training and support for GTV colleagues
• Accountable for being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Agile Security
• Accountable for representing BT on Agile Security matters externally within the wider industry
• Accountable for maintaining knowledge and understanding of current drivers, approaches, solutions and trends in the wider external cybersecurity ecosystem, ensuring that external knowledge is fed into and widely distributed via, the Guild, CIS and business units
• Supports the GTV Transformation Lead in evangelisation the Guide, Trust, verify across the business
• Supports the creation of GTV tribe/squad delivery plans
• Supports the identification of new GTV candidate areas and negotiating new GTV pilots
• Responsible for collating and documenting all GTV success stories and whitepapers across the business
• Driving the associated governance, moderation and life-cycle management of security within agile processes
