What Are The Role Responsibilities

  • Generating education sales by developing strong business and customer relations.
  • Finding and developing leads and opportunities in education
  • Retaining and managing customer churn.
  • Knowledgeable in BTs education offering and able to advise schools and colleges on the most appropriate solution
  • To deliver profitable growth and increase BTs market share in the education market.
  • Working with external education specialists, BT Local Businesses and other BT teams to deliver the education plan.
  • To carry out training necessary for your role
  • Using partner programmes to optimise commercial benefit for BT and its customers
  • Providing quotes and responding to RFPs and tenders

Skills Required For The Role

  • Straight talker – effective communicator, able to build rapport over the phone
  • Able to provide a high standard of written communication
  • Commercial awareness
  • Customer Partner – able to identify decision makers and maintain relationships
  • Track record of working and delivering to a target
  • Specialised advice – good to expert Knowledge of ICT (hardware, software, services, network and Cloud)
  • Data analysis – using data to optimise sales performance
  • Using sales tools such as ERP systems and Salesforce to record data.
  • Team player – working within a team to deliver BT’s education strategy

Experience Required

Mandatory

  • Desk-based IT Product and Services selling experience
  • Account Management – building an account base
  • Knowledge of IT hardware and software products and services
  • Microsoft applications – Outlook, Word and Excel
  • High level of written and verbal communications

Preferred

Experience in the education sector
