What you’ll be doing:

The role is for an enthusiastic, passionate senior software engineer responsible for taking BT forward.

You’ll be:

  • Writing high performance, well tested code.
  • Leading other developers and reporting to wider stakeholders
  • Working with other developers to develop and share your knowledge.
  • Working in a team delivering “full stack” software – from frontend portals, to middle ware to backend depending on what’s required.
  • Wanting to learn new things and keen to bring the team onboard with new ideas.
  • Building pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
  • Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
  • Reach out to the open-source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
  • Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
  • Debug issues in native app code.

We’ll also need these

  • Git for source control
  • Agile Development using Scrum and Jira
  • CI and CD experience
  • Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming
  • Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
  • Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
  • Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest
  • Knowledge of Microservice, Kubernetes and Cloud infrastructure.
