We have around 1 -2 million customers and serve over half the FTSE 350. Our customers range from big household names, government departments and public service organisations right through to small businesses and new start-ups. We cover both the communications and IT services markets. Overall we’re focused on four main product markets: Fixed Voice; Mobility; Fibre and connectivity; networked IT services provided over the biggest UK network in both fixed and mobile communications. The Sales Enablement function is responsible for providing our Sales teams with the best capabilities, tools and governance to effectively sell within their customer base, improving our sales and customer experience.

A key role of Sales Enablement is to create consistency and drive innovation across the channels, ensuring Sales are all adequately supported to be able to deliver on their Sales targets and overall Sales strategy. The team therefore exists to ensure there is strong interaction between the segments, clearer prioritisation of Sales channels’ needs and greater alignment on the use of tools, systems and processes in place. We are focusing on Getting the Basics Right by ensuring correct SE sales processes so sales can sell in the right way, driving Consistency across Enterprise with a common approach across all Enterprise sales teams, Simplifying our Sales journeys for Sales to sell propositions and transforming and innovating by adopting innovative, market-leading sales processes, tools and capabilities.

Why this Job Matters

Sales tools manages critical systems to the commercial team at Enterprise, adapting and supporting them in line with a constantly changing business. With so much change, measuring the impact and helping teams adapt to a constantly changing environment is a challenge this new role is designed to support. We currently use a tool (called Walkme) to help teams with adoption. We also have access to Einstein CRM that can help build reports showing the value of adoption and how our own change process contributes to this.
