About This Role

You will be working with a prestigious client at high profile offices in London hosting senior execs, this is considered a flagship location. As such it is given a white gloves level of attention with particular support required during high profile virtual and F2F events.This role is a contractual obligation to be able to assure service availability as well as a highly proactive approach to maintaining services and solutions deployed on this site. Anglo American also has a number of upcoming projects in the UK for other locations that will require initial and ongoing support on an occasional basis. You should be a confident, professional, customer focused engineer with solid cisco experience.Whilst you may not need to be on site 5 days a week,flexibility is required to ensure that the correct level of on-site and off-site support is aligned to customer needs. Some travel to other sites in UK may be required on occasion.

You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities

  • Be the face of BT in front of the customer; the ears, eyes and on-site expert for the BT Contract TDA and Service Management team.
  • Build solid relationships with customer stakeholders and become their trusted advisor. Relationship and continuity are critical to fulfil this role, so good soft skills are critical to present the right image of BT and deliver customer success at the “sharp end”.
  • Working with customer stakeholders in test environment to prove new designs, solutions and configurations.
  • Working collaboratively with other ecosystem partners such as HCL to assure E2E solution and represent BT positively.
  • Attend meetings where technical input is required.
  • Supporting design activities including updating diagrams and inventory.
  • Installation / De-installation of Equipment
  • Configuration of equipment
  • Audit of equipment
  • Incident response and proactively engaging incident and problem bridges to drive a rapid resolution.
  • Interacting with vendors (e.g. Cisco TAC) to resolve issues.

This is not a sales or revenue generating role, however, you will be able to identify opportunities to innovate, enhance or add to the service we provide, capture requirements from the customer.

You’ll Have The Following Skills & Experience

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate – CCNA (Routing and Switching)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional – CCNP (Routing and Switching)or with equvialent experience or with an aspiration to further your career in this technology.
  • Routing – experienced in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers (Cisco Sd-WAN deployed on customer estate) and routing protocols
  • Switching – experienced in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches and switching technologies such as VLANs,
  • Liaising with various internal IT domains to identify network problems and ensuring resolution.
  • Communicating and negotiating with users, specialists, and suppliers as appropriate
  • Experience of supporting and working with senior managers
