About This Role

BT are recruiting for an Accounting and Financial Control Manager to join the organisation on a permanent basis located out of our London or Bristol office offering flexible hybrid working.

This role will consolidate, control, challenge and communicate accurate total labour cost (TLC) financial reporting for the Customer Facing Unit (‘CFU’) and Group whilst meeting compliance requirements for the whole of Enterprise. The role will business partner with Enterprise’s HR and Finance functions by providing finance support and challenge. The role will also support the wider financial reporting requirements (internal and external) for Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• HR and Finance business partnering
• Reporting and forecasting total labour cost (TLC), total labour resource (TLR), specific items and efficiencies (this includes presentation of information to key stakeholders)
• Support and challenge the local units with effective analysis
• Act as a key contact with Group and other CFUs for matters relating to Enterprise’s financial reporting
• Ensure appropriate processes are in place that meet audit standard
• Support senior manager with any ad hoc queries or projects arising from different stakeholders

Key Skills Required

• Fully qualified accountant
• Oversees and reviews the financial and operational analysis for the business. Provides in-depth commentary that reflects understanding of wider operating environment
• Provides detailed feedback and insight to the business on its financial performance.
• Oversees and reviews forecast/budget at detailed level, demonstrating an understanding of their inter-relationship.
• Leverages knowledge from multiple functional areas and anticipates impact of future requirements. Understands and consistently applies an advanced knowledge and understanding of company financial statements, accounting principles.
• Manages relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including external auditors. Is accountable for the accounting interpretation, treatment, completeness and accuracy
• IFRS technical accounting skills desirable
• Experience of SAP desirable
