About The Service
An opportunity has arisen in the Adult Services CareFirst / Eclipse Team for a person with excellent communication, training and organisational skills. CareFirst is the current electronic Social Care computer system currently in use in both Adult and Children’s Services. We are working towards a replacement system called Eclipse. The system has a dynamic programme of expansion and development to work with the changing environment for social care services. Support to end users is a crucial part of the CareFirst / Eclipse Team.
About the job
• To deliver training on the CareFirst/Eclipse system to Adult Services staff and assist in the maintenance of the live/test/train databases. • To ensure that staff and managers at all levels across Adult Services are provided with the appropriate training as required by the Service Area. • To develop e-learning material / written guidance for all CareFirst / Eclipse new and existing end users (and wider training where necessary) across Adult Social Services • Occasional cover for Children’s Services if required
What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for a committed individual to undertake a range of duties to include: • Delivery of high-quality training on the CareFirst / Eclipse system to targeted groups throughout Adult Services. • Undertake the delivery of training through various mediums e.g. online using Microsoft Teams / eLearning / face to face to groups and individuals. Group sizes are varied. • To develop training material for eLearning and process mapping using various applications. • Ability to offer continued support, help and assistance to all new and existing end users. • To be responsible for the maintenance, analysis and reporting of course evaluation returns. • Maintain course training material, training plans and process maps taking into account the introduction of new procedures and/or new equipment / technology. • To work closely with the current trainer, Assistant System Administrator and Helpdesk staff to gain an understanding of their roles and offer cover when required. • Actively participate in projects, as an individual and working with other staff, to contribute to the development of the Team’s functionality and expertise.
Additional information
The ability to work under pressure is required in order to ensure the smooth running of this busy section. Excellent IT skills are essential and the understanding and knowledge of various eLearning training modules would be desirable. Attention to detail and accuracy are very important to this work. This post is temporary until 31st October 2023. Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081).
