£37,500 – £43,500 plus benefits (Work Level 6A)

We’re looking for a Reconciliations Team Manager to join us and lead a team of Advisors and Senior Advisors on a day-to-day basis and through a significant period of transformation in our financial structure.

In this role, you’ll make sure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a controlled, efficient and timely manner so that key performance indicators are achieved to budget and scope. We’ll look to you to maintain bank accounts and oversee cash and bank reconciliation and control across the Co-op. It’s an exciting time to join, as you’ll have the chance to spot opportunities to help us to further improve the way we work.

What you’ll do:

  • lead, develop and coach a large team of reconciliation and control advisors, overseeing the daily workflow and guiding them through a significant period of transformation
  • make sure annual and periodical audits are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team, ensuring efficient processes and system designs through the implementation of finance transformation
  • handle key external and internal partner relationships to ensure the consistent delivery of service
  • support the Treasury back-office Manager with the management of the wider Cash and Treasury team

This role will suit people who have:

  • CIMA or ACCA Finalist or newly qualified
  • the confidence to lead and empower a large team
  • previous experience of driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • experience working with high transactional volumes in a fast-paced environment
  • the ability to clearly communicate and manage relationships with key external and internal partners
  • project management experience
  • strong analytical and Excel skills with the ability to present financial information
