Job Description:

In this role, you’ll lead on creating and delivering our Co-op Funeralcare marketing communications and brand strategies, plans and campaigns to support business objectives. As part of this, we’ll look to you to build positive relationships with marketing teams across the business, supporting the delivery of national marketing campaigns as well as leading local ones for both our funeral services and our pre-arranged funeral planning businesses. You’ll also make sure we’re delivering the best customer experience to our clients by delivering and developing the full end-to-end Co-op Funeralcare omni-channel experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • partner with One Co-op marketing teams to define marketing communication strategies, plans, and campaigns to deliver strong brand and commercial outcomes
  •  lead the client marketing and experience team, creating a clear vision, setting direction, and coaching the team in an inclusive way
  •  responsible for the commercial success of marketing plans and campaigns to ensure delivery of the wider commercial plan
  • responsible for ensuring all financial promotions and client collateral meet our regulatory standards
  •  responsible for the commercial performance of the Funeralcare website and the digital customer experience; driving traffic, conversions, and strong channel results
  •  set the direction for future customer experience and omni-channel capability to deliver an outstanding experience for our clients
  •  lead relationships with media and creative agencies on behalf of Funeralcare
  •  make sure all client communications are clear and fair, meeting appropriate regulatory guidelines
  •  build relationships with colleagues across Co-op group to champion the voice of the customer and facilitate client journeys that deliver high levels of customer satisfaction

Qualification & Experience:

  •  experience of working within a PRA/FCA regulated environment or similar regulated industry
  • good commercial understanding with the ability to formulate marketing strategies in line with customer and commercial objectives
  • experience within a similar role leading broad marketing communications across the full paid, owned and earned media mix, in a business with a strong online presence
  • demonstrated ability to build customer experience (CX) strategy, measurement, and delivery in an omnichannel environment
  •  strong relationship management skills – you’re able to collaborate with people at all levels in the business and manage external agency relationships
  •  previous experience of leading a team as well as wider matrix management including owning budget management and cost
