An exciting opportunity for a Supplier Relationship & Contract Specialist to work within Assets, Capital and Commercial Services. This is a role that will be interesting and varied, involving the management of three Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts that deliver a range of essential services. Education PFI includes 17 schools, Fire PFI covers 29 stations and a Leisure PFI with one centre.

We are looking for a Supplier Relationship & Contract Specialist with demonstrable PFI experience, and who is passionate about delivering high quality services. To be successful in this role, you must be able to develop effective working relationships with wide ranging stakeholders and have experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver specified levels of performance and represent value for money. Knowledge of contract law is essential.

This is a professional level role where the ability to assimilate information and proactively respond is required. The post holder will be attending project board meetings with senior stakeholders and officers and so experience of committee meetings and how they operate would be beneficial. Knowledge of how the Council’s decision-making processes work is desirable but not essential.

The post holder will need to work well as part of a team but also be self-motivated and able to prioritise workload to maximise delivery the service objectives. A good grasp of the Microsoft Office suite applications and SharePoint would be desirable
