The Role

You’ll work as part of our rapidly growing product team building robust, maintainable and

beautiful Android applications for our rider, restaurant and consumer teams.

You’ll take part in decisions related to how we undertake new projects and gather

requirements to scope out projects with the rest of the team. We’re looking for people who

enjoy mentoring others, like tackling problems collaboratively and working closely with

product managers and other engineers to create polished solutions

Our applications have an MVVM architecture with some legacy MVP, using RxJava (which we’re looking to replace with coroutines in time) and Dagger Hilt. We’re well

underway to convert all Android applications to 100% Kotlin. We’re also using Jetpack Compose in production.

Requirements

• We want to emphasise that we don’t expect you to meet all of the below:
• Take pride in readable, well-designed and well-tested software
• Experience in building Android applications at scale
• Kotlin and/or Java experience
• Accomplished in scaling Android architecture
• Experience with Android development tools like Android Studio
• Experience working in a cross-functional team
• Knowledge of the Android SDK and AndroidX
• Interested in writing Kotlin
• A bias for action and pragmatism over perfection
