Role: Quant QA Analyst (VP/AVP)

Location: Hybrid working (flexible) & flexible on location within the UK

This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations and be part of one of our largest-scale, complex programmes for one of our premier Banking clients. This role is to support the Transformation Customer Remediation team within Transformation operating across the UK with a portfolio of over 100 projects.

About Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance department is a shared service that operates across all projects and processes across the Remediation Portfolio. The principle objective of the department is to provide independent assurance to the Remediation Portfolio Managing Director on the design and ongoing operation of controls across the Remediation Portfolio.

Overall Purpose of the role

The individual will work within the Quantitative Quality Assurance team (Quant QA) and be actively involved in providing/validating redress pricing models and reviewing redress calculations/outcomes across a number of complex projects within the Customer Portfolio Programme.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of debt products
  • Strong ability to analyse historic performance of debt and working capital accounts
  • Good understanding of operational processes over several different loan products
  • Subject matter expertise in modelling, particularly in the creation of new models and their practical application
  • Financial services experience with preferably a background in investment banking and a broad understanding of various loan products (including annuity loans) and structured loans.
  • Ability to create policy and challenge existing policy/processes. Provide recommendations when there are multiple approaches involved and have ability to document observations
  • Proficient in Using Microsoft applications especially Excel, Word, etc
  • Excellent academic background including a degree in a subject with a material mathematics/stats content,
  • High level of analytical and numeracy skills.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented with good time management and works estimation skills
  • Ability to handle change in a dynamic fast-moving environment with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge and experience of loan products operations and pricing
