We are currently looking for a Senior Marketing Assistant to join our Clients & Industries teams in the North and help support us in telling these stories, and in delivering stand-out, impactful campaigns and activities for our clients.

The role will support the regional marketing strategy and incorporate a wide range of disciplines from hybrid events to internal communications and PR. The role will be based in the Leeds or Newcastle office, with some travel to Manchester.

Your role

Strategy:

  • Support the implementation and measurement of the regional marketing and communications plan to drive revenue growth, strengthen relationships, and raise market/brand profile

Marketing, portfolio, brand & eminence:

  • Create and deliver impactful marketing activity (events, creation of marketing material and digital assets e.g., video) that aligns with the regional practices’ strategy and marketing plan(s)
  • Support the delivery of virtual and face-to-face events with responsibilities including drafting and issuing invitations, full set-up and running on the day, delegate communication and evaluation of success
  • Provide administrative and project management support to ensure the smooth execution of marketing campaigns including being (or becoming) a “super user” of the firms CPM tools e.g., Marketo
  • Responsible for the delivery of internal marketing communications for the regional practice, for example writing and designing email updates, and creation of video material
  • Support the C&I team in embedding standard processes and methodologies as they relate to campaign and portfolio management and be responsible for all the associated brand and risk compliance
  • Conduct desk research, and/or managing research resources, to support account teams and provide important intelligence for team(s)
  • Liaise with all the associated industry, service line or central teams as required for each activity, to ensure best practice
  • Be a ‘go to’ advisor on best-in-class marketing practices for stakeholders
  • Work alongside other regional C&I teams on key pan-regional campaigns, providing support and expertise as required and in line with own regional prioritise and objectives.

Location: You will be based at our Leeds or Newcastle office. Some travel to the Manchester office will be required.

Work pattern: This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a part-time basis, with a minimum of four days (80%) presence a week. Our team members work a variety of agile working patterns. Tell us what arrangement works for you and we’ll try to accommodate, however we will require someone to be present in the office 2 to 3 days per week.

Your professional experience

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills, especially written
  • Excellent demonstrable organisation skills
  • Excellent project and campaign management skills and experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • An ability and eagerness to learn and progress in marketing
  • Database and CRM experience
  • Understanding of, and experience in, running social media activity
  • Ability to work under pressure/to deadline and handle multiple requests
  • A professional ‘can do’ attitude and ability to be a team player
  • Experience working in a business environment (see below)

This role requires an individual who will be proactive, robust, provide challenge to the wider practice on marketing campaigns, confidently deliver at all meetings and contribute to maintaining the strong reputation held by the Clients & Industries team within the practice.

Desirable

  • Experience in the professional services sector preferable, but not obligatory
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant business / marketing subject or equivalent experience
  • CIM qualified

Personal independence
