We are looking for an experienced Tax Analyst to join our market-leading Trusts team in Cardiff or Bristol.

You will become part of our close-knit team in an extremely successful practice. This means you will have the chance to learn and work with the market leaders whilst gaining exposure to a variety of clients and projects which are sure to enhance your interpersonal and tax technical skills.

Our team focuses on building long-lasting relationship with our clients; advising them, their trusts and their businesses on their tax position to help them achieve their commercial or family objectives.

Your role

At the Analyst level we are looking for candidates who can evidence the ability to:

  • Assist Consultants, Associate Directors, Directors and Partners as part of our Trust Team including:
  • Coordination of and assistance with the timely preparation of trust accounts and tax returns
  • Financial management of the client engagements
  • Taking responsibility for the timely delivery to our clients
  • Ensure deliverables are to a high standard
  • Communicate clearly and tailored as appropriate to the audience.
  • Identify opportunities on existing accounts.
  • Contribute towards our brand by building a network amongst professional advisors and potential clients.
  • Innovate and bring new fresh ideas to how we do what we do.

Location: We have teams based in central Cardiff or Bristol, but embrace flexible working.

Work pattern: This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a part-time or full-time basis.

Your professional experience

  • Evidence of book-keeping experience or experience working in an accounting clerk role, or similar.
  • Prior experience of Trusts and Estates would be desirable but not essential.
  • AAT or ATT qualification, or equivalent, is desirable but not essential. Support will be available to sit these exams or to expand any existing qualifications, together with further applicable learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as sound written and oral skills.
  • Experience of assisting in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Excellent IT skills including a good understanding of Excel.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your “Immediate Family Members” are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm.
