About the job

Your opportunity

Part Business. Part Creative. Part Technology. One hundred per cent digital. At Deloitte Digital, we connect technology with creativity to deliver better outcomes for both our business and the clients we work with.

Are you looking to return to the workplace after an extended career break?

For this role we can offer coaching and support designed for returners to refresh your knowledge and skills, and help your transition back into the workplace after a career break of 2 years or more. If this is relevant for you, just let your recruiter know when you make your application.

Your role

We’re expanding fast and we’re looking for natural problem solvers who bring out the best in others, are brilliant listeners and can grow our business without compromising standards, integrity or culture. You will work with outstanding digital talent across disciplines to innovate and create great solutions for iconic brands.

With experience in small to large business transformation, and a firm knowledge of how agile development teams operate, you’ll be an integral part in the technical design of new software and processes.

You should be able to work alongside a range of client stakeholders to understand their problem, elicit requirements, and evaluate the technical feasibility of solutions.

  • Gather requirements to help solve some of the most exciting problems for our clients
  • Translate and communicate requirements using logical, structured methods to align teams and stakeholders
  • Work within a cross functional development team to design, develop, test, release and support new technology
  • Evaluate the technical impacts and other business or change impacts that come as a result of the solutions you shape
  • Deliver gap analyses against proposed technologies
  • Scope and plan the management of client projects
  • Demonstrate an appetite to continuously improve technical processes and ways of working
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
  • Coach, develop and support Business Analysts who have less experience

Your work, your choice

At Deloitte we believe the best impact is the value we add, not the hours we sit at our desk. We carefully consider agile ways of working, both formal and informal, that allow for the best impact for our people and our clients. Please speak to your recruiter about the working pattern that works best for you.

Location: GB mainland (London, Manchester or Edinburgh).

This role is in our London, Manchester or Edinburgh office; however, you’ll also have a chance to work with clients throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

Work pattern: This role is a permanent full-time contract opportunity.

Your professional experience

You will need to have a great understanding of the latest tools and products and platforms, within a variety of different industries, to help our clients not just realise their current goals, but their strategic technology vision for future years to come.

Overall, you’re an ideas person and problem solver as well as a hands-on doer – that’s important. You know it takes a mix of people to do amazing work, so you love collaborating with and learning from people with different skills, backgrounds and perspectives.

If you have an interesting or unusual mix of skills yourself, even better.

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst, either at a consultancy or in industry
  • Great at delving into the details, as well as being able to think about the bigger picture and confidently discuss creative ideas, technology and user experience
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum/Kanban) and within multi-skilled teams
  • Interest in honing processes and evaluating new tools to improve ways of working
  • Passionate about solving complex problems and delivering market-leading, customer-centric propositions
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior analysts

Desirable:

  • Software development background or the ability to understand large, full-stack codebases
  • Experience with monolithic, layered and microservice architectures
  • Experience of design and implementation of one or more market-leading packages in:
  • Commerce: SAP CommerceCloud, Magento, Salesforce, Commercetools or similar
  • Content management: Adobe Experience Manager, OpenText ECM or similar
  • Order management: Magento, SAP CommerceCloud, Oracle or similar
  • Product information management: EnterWorks, Stibo Systems, Oracle or similar
  • Identity and access management: Forgerock, Gigya, Auth0 or similar

Your service line: Consulting

Our people and the way we work are the two things that set us apart in the consulting universe. For us, collaboration is fundamental to success, along with an unrivalled depth and breadth of expertise. We work closely with our clients and each other, at every stage of every project, solving our clients’ trickiest problems with a mix of knowledge, creativity and intellectual rigour. Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your “Immediate Family Members” are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm. The recruitment team will provide further detail as you progress through the recruitment process.
