Internal Audit Associate

Focusing on addressing issues relating to accounting and financial reporting, risk, and internal controls systems, you will be joining an Internal Audit team that is recognised as best in class. As an Internal Audit professional, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of corporate and public sector organisations, including well known multi-nationals. Our clients are diverse in scale, industry and location, each providing new insights into Finance, Risk, IT, Data and wider business issues.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Work with a high profile experienced internal audit team to understand processes and system of businesses in various sector and industries, review their risk and controls environment and report to various stake holders of the business
  • Participate and focus on addressing issues relating to accounting and financial reporting, risk, and internal controls systems
  • Be involved in the preparation and review of high-quality planning and reporting of deliverables for review by internal management and subsequently for issue to clients.
  • Support Internal Audit Management in developing progress reports for Senior Management and Audit Committees.
  • Engage and network with colleagues working across the Deloitte Risk Advisory Services in Ireland, NSE and Global offices.
  • Develop and build your own personal brand alongside Deloitte’s by engaging in internal department initiatives such as training, business development activities, coaching, world class volunteering and graduate recruitment.

Learning Opportunities

As an Internal Audit Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of corporate and public sector organizations, including well known multi-nationals. Our clients are diverse in scale, industry, and location. Beyond the learning involved in supporting a range of important clients in relevant projects and working alongside the best professionals using trending technologies, you will be supported in completing Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ACA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) qualifications.

Desirable Skills And Qualifications

  • Achieved or are currently on target for a 2.1 honors degree or higher
  • Right to work in Belfast
  • Interest in becoming ACA qualified
  • A high level of self-motivation and commitment
  • The ability to analyze and work through complex problems
  • Demonstrated leadership, creative problem solving and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility, resilience, and intellectual curiosity
