This role sits within the HR People & Operational Effectiveness (POE) function and provides you with an opportunity to inspire our people to positively disrupt the now so that together we influence the right outcomes for the future. POE teams partner internal and external teams across the firm to provide scalable standards, solutions and frameworks across HR processes and procedures to enable the successful delivery of the UK HR Strategy. Our team are located across the UK but leverage the global scale of Deloitte to drive productivity, create value and deliver sustained results for our people.

Your role

Be successful in this role and you will support the smooth running of the inner workings of the HR function. You will be responsible for helping managing our HR systems landscape through the support of existing platforms to the implementation of new ones and all activities in-between.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of HR Systems and Technology to manage a large HR technology roadmap during a time of extensive transformation
  • Provide experience and support to our HR teams to define and document business processes to drive successful implementation of new technology
  • Assist in managing the BAU change backlog for our existing technology to ensure solutions are designed and built factoring in potential downstream impacts to systems and data internal and external to HR
  • Provide recommendations to better utilise our existing technology to help us fully realise their benefits
  • Provide recommendations to enhance, streamline and simplify our processes
  • Support internal projects to identify potential systems impacts and manage the delivery of these changes through to launch
  • Build strong internal relationships within the wider HR team and across other areas of Enabling Functions to help with the development and management of our HR applications
  • Ensure that all applications are compliant with our local and global standards
  • Be an advocate for POE procedures and processes; support the implementation, embedding of POE practices (e.g. the IT, Risk, Agile frameworks etc.) across HR

Your professional experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience working with HR professionals to define, implement and manage complex technical change and delivery of new platforms
  • Experienced in running requirements gathering sessions both in person and virtually to articulate functional and technical system requirements
  • Experience in documenting technical and non-technical requirements to support system delivery and change
  • Ability to translate and present technical information to a non-technical audience in a clear, concise, appropriate manner
  • Hands on experience of implementing systems from the selection process through to go live
  • Proven experience running and participating in cross-functional projects, with experience of working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Analytical skills with the ability to work on complex, sensitive and time-critical matters
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently when required
  • Ability to work at pace adopting a creative approach to problem solving
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft products SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Adept at communicating, influencing, educating and building working relationships with stakeholders quickly
  • A role model as a team player with an ability to work collaboratively
  • Confident and comfortable to work under pressure and manage a number of tasks simultaneously
  • Able to work in a flexible environment, with an ability to decide which style of analysis and project delivery is appropriate

Desirable

  • Experience using or working with core HR systems such as SAPHR, Success Factors, Service Now
  • Experience of working in a highly commercial, fast paced environment ideally, but not essentially, within Financial Services or Regulated environment
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and complex matrix environment and relish working in a change environment
