Kingsmead and Newton’s Walk are schools with a vision and a mission; we’re here to help some of the most vulnerable young people in Derby gain the qualifications and life skills to get ahead. Offering a number of provisions, we work with between 200 and 250 students with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.

We are looking to appoint a School Administrator to support our school to move to the next level. With an ethos of ‘Never give up’, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible and who can support the admin function within school.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a school environment and have up to date and detailed knowledge and experience of using a school MIS and other school data related data bases and software. You will also have detailed knowledge and understanding of MS Office. The role will involve flexible working over multiple sites across Derby City.

Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. All Governors, staff, trainees and volunteers have a responsibility and role to play to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Staff members will maintain an attitude of “it could happen here” where safeguarding is concerned. This position involves substantial access to Children and is therefore subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for any previous criminal convictions or safeguarding issues.
