An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit 2 permanent fulltime Senior Commissioning Officer post’s within the Adult Social Care Commissioning and Market Management Team. These posts will be specifically working within 2 portfolio areas:
  • Learning Disabilities/Autism/Mental health
  • Day opportunities/shortbreaks/community contracts
We are looking for 2 dynamic, innovative, creative people with a flexible approach to work. You will be based in an evolving Commissioning team giving you a great opportunity. The posts will cover essential commissioning and procurement work within both portfolio’s, critical engagement with the provider market, gathering key performance data to support the future development of the market and sustaining the current provision.
These posts are team focused with an emphasis of supporting the work the team is required to undertake to support the Care Market, Adult Social Care, health and most importantly the vulnerable customers within Derby City.
During the COVID-19 pandemic the Commissioning team has faced its biggest challenges, been at the forefront of the work within Adult Social Care for Derby City Council. These posts will work to deliver exciting projects to move the sector forward and support the delivery of a sustainable care market.
The posts will work under the following areas:
  • posts will support the Development hub, working to support the Care Market within several portfolios building on the market recovery plans and supporting the Lead Commissioners and Market Managers to undertake reviews of the market position statements, market engagement, contract management and fee negotiations just as some examples.
