We are looking for a flexible individual to take a lead role and increase our skills base in the transport planning and strategy team. This is a key post that requires experience in a variety of work areas including transport assessments, development of funding bids, transport studies, transport modelling, transport strategy development and highways development management.
You will need a degree in a relevant subject, or significant experience that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of transportation issues, and an understanding of current transport policies and strategies. You will have strong project management skills, good communication skills and be able to meet deadlines.

All employees will normally be appointed to the minimum of the grade for the job. For reasons connected with a particular need of the Council it may be appropriate, subject to approval, to appoint to a higher point in the pay grade.
