Job Description

Our Software Engineering Manager is currently recruiting for high calibre experienced IT Automated Quality Assurance Engineers to join their highly skilled and high performing team. The role will be based at our offices in Oldbury.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Understanding software change diagrams written in UML, Archimate and BPMN
  • Estimate, prioritise and plan testing activities within project time scales
  • Create well-structured automated test suites to be used as regression packs
  • Ability to integrate the tests into our development pipeline
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects and developers to validate designs and implementation
  • Work with UI/UX to ensure crucial elements of the UI are tested
  • Identify, record, document and track bugs working with developers to monitor progress
  • Troubleshoot issues to gather information and find the source
  • Communicate testing status to the product team

About You

Qualifications

To be considered for this role you must have experience as an AQA Engineer or in a similar role and demonstrable knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. TestNG, Selenium, Appium, BrowserStack). You must also be proficient in Java as well as having a solid understanding of AQA principles and best practices. Knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Jenkins is beneficial.

Your naturally strong communication and organisational skills will be fully utilised in this role as well as your ability to effectively prioritise, multitask and problem solve. We would also expect you to be able to:

  • Work well in a team and adhering to principles and values
  • Analyse and apply your expertise of software AQA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Adapt and respond to change, as well as coping well with pressure and setbacks
  • Have strong attention to detail and problem solving aptitude
  • Work with cloud technologies and have an innate ability to investigate bugs
