About the job
The post holder will hold the necessary maintenance skills to
ensure the safe and continuous operation of mechanical and
electrical engineering services and building plant. Although
primarily working on their own outside normal working hours is
an integral member of the Maintenance team and should be
able to demonstrate leadership skills. This will involve planning,
organising activities and working across trade groups and with
contractors staff to provide an effective maintenance, repair and
installation service, which is responsive to the users needs.
The post holder will participate on a fixed rota system and be
required to cover for shift team absences to maintain service
continuity.
The post holder will be employed on work appropriate to their
core skills particularly around engineering plant and equipment
maintenance. They will, however, progressively be trained to
acquire elements of each others skills with the intention of
reaching levels of multi trade flexibility and competence to
enable them to achieve and apply their ability where required.

We require a fully qualified mechanical/electrical engineer, who is prepared to take part in a 4-man shift rota.
The individual must be able to work on their own and be able to plan their work accordingly.
The applicant must have a good knowledge of both electrical and mechanical planned preventative maintenance and an efficient knowledge of Legionella.
You should be physically fit and active with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces. A clean full driving licence is essential.
The successful applicant may be required to join our emergency cover rota after a probationary period, which may involve working unsocial hours on occasion.
