The candidate

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic doctor with paediatric knowledge and experience to take up an Education Fellow post to help support our Medical students and other undergraduate learners whilst on clinical placement in Paediatrics in our Trust.

The candidate should ideally be familiar with NHS and UK University Medical School training requirements and be available to meet students coming in September. This role would be ideal for a doctor with an interest in education and who may have perhaps stepped off the training programme or subject to agreement from the school of Paediatrics may be able to include this position as part of their continuing training programme (subject to negotiation). Along with delivering 2.5 days of education per week there will be additional rotated clinical roles in and out of hours timetabled around education delivery and student term times. There will need to be some flexibility from the candidate to complete some out of hours work in the student holidays.

Non-UK trained doctors with equivalent training and qualifications and who are registered with the GMC may apply but experience with working in the UK and NHS systems and familiarity with UK medical student training requirements is desirable
