About The Job

The Retail team focuses on Google-branded hardware across product categories. Our team is responsible for managing partnerships with our retailers, including developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms, marketing and merchandising, and overall market share goals. We partner cross-functionally with marketing, product and engineering, finance, and retail marketing teams internally, and with our retail counterparts across these disciplines.

As an Associate Partner Manager, you will support Google’s hardware product engagements with one of our strategic Retail partners. You will support the team in deepening relationships with this industry partner, executing agreements, and tracking impact. You will be involved in product launches, promotional planning, sell out tracking, and collaborative forecasting. In addition, you will be part of a broader retail team focused on all aspects of our mobile business, including our growing hardware portfolio and retail merchandising. You will partner cross-functionally with the marketing, engineering, finance, retail operations, and product teams to drive successful Pixel, Home, Chromecast, Wifi, Nest, and more through our retailers. You will partner closely with our Channel Sales Activation and Marketing teams to execute channel marketing and merchandising plans to support the business.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google’s partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed launch plans for Pixel and Nest products with Retail partners (i.e., launch planning, sales forecasting, promotional planning and analysis across products).
  • Set goals for product volumes, market share goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and store operations to ensure Google provides support and creative solutions to ensure the partner’s success.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact, both internally and externally, using a trading and day-to-day management perspective.
