About the job

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in consulting or financial/value engineering in driving cloud strategy and business transformation.
• Experience in enterprise technology strategy, cloud financial operations (FinOps), cloud economics and business case, and transformation programs.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in developing cloud business case and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis aligning technology costs to business value metrics.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management pricing tactics including Committed Use Discounts, Spot Instances, etc.
• Understanding of Google Cloud technologies and Cloud FinOps practices and frameworks.
• Ability to operate efficiently and effectively with enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving team environment.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and provide insights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Cloud FinOps projects and engage directly with customers to strategize, design, and implement processes and integration solutions to manage and optimize cloud consumption.
• Support our customers in defining their cloud financial management strategy, aligning it with the business goals by helping them better understand their cloud costs, and advise them on approaches to improve all aspects of their cost management approach and related cloud governance processes.
• Develop cloud usage visibility, providing summaries and detailed cloud billing and usage statistics for resources on Google Cloud Platform, support financial and billing teams on cloud budgets, financial forecasts, showbacks, and chargebacks models.
• Manage relationships with customers, including Finance, IT Ops, Application, and Engineering teams to build cloud cost and consumption dashboards and forecasts.
