• Candidates will typically have 8 years of experience in software development in Java, C++ or Python.
• Experience with mobile application development or Android framework development.
• Experience in technical leadership, leading project teams, and setting technical direction.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Android application development.
• Experience with the Java programming language and Android framework.
• Experience using Android UI Toolkit and framework APIs or equivalent on other platforms.
• Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and cross-business projects.

In this role, you will take ownership of the Photopicker roadmap, with growth potential to expand scope over Android file picker and developer-facing storage interface and APIs. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build user-facing features that allow users to easily access, share, and protect their data, and create compelling APIs that allow developers to create efficient, powerful and performant applications.
• Improve storage and storage performance on devices.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g. style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Mentor junior engineers on design techniques and coding standards.
