Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience in program management on user experience and mobile app projects.
  • Experience with UX design and research disciplines, tools, and processes.
  • Experience contributing through program management of products and design systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with design, user research, and innovation processes and experience working with design, research, and engineering professionals.
  • Experience with managing user interface design, user research, hardware/industrial design, video production, platform design, or speculative design processes.
  • Experience collecting, synthesizing, analyzing, and visualizing complex sources of data, ultimately used to derive insights and form recommendations to improve operational efficiency and efficacy.
  • Experience and knowledge with project management software, spreadsheets, and documents software.
  • Ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of ambiguity.

About The Job

As a UX Program Manager, your mission will be to drive and scale UX programs and operational excellence to support user-centered design practices in building the foundation to enable health and wellness experiences across our mobile app and other Google surfaces, and scale to users. In this role, you will align and enable the work of your cross-functional UX team, Product Managers, and Engineers. UX Program Managers provide program management leadership and operational support throughout the UX organization and across functional teams by increasing communication and connection points, streamlining the UX design process, and driving product excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and partner with UX team leadership and cross-functional partners to deliver trust-building and counsel through all program interactions.
  • Define team priorities and oversee key project decision-making, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, coordination of teams as well as approval processes, and proving clear communication to cross-functional team leads and executive management regarding program status, resource requirements, risks, and priorities.
  • Build and manage plans for UX programs and execute them in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering directors, product leaders and technical program manager leads to streamline processes, simplify execution, and manage objectives and key results.
  • Identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, and asset management, as well as driving required changes to make sure the UX team is enabled to create impactful user experiences.
